Eight teams. $20,000 prize pool. Tanks. That’s what’s coming up in Season 2 of the World Of Tanks ANZ Premier League, launching 12th March on https://twitch.tv/worldoftanksanz. The full schedule can be found at https://worldoftanks.asia/en/news/announcements/anzpl-season-two-teams/. Featuring players from all over Australia and New Zealand, ANZPL Season 2 will build on the excitement of Season 1, culminating in a Grand Final at Fortress Melbourne (COVID permitting).

“Season two of the ANZ Premier League is set to be bigger and better with new partners, new talent and a prize pool twice as big as season one,” said World of Tanks ANZ Product Manager, Jake Truman. “We’re proud to be continuing the growth of the local esports scene and are keen to see what teams and players have to show us”

With returning teams Adelaide Action X, Auckland Archers, Brisbane Bulldogs, Christchurch Conquerors, Melbourne Matildas, Perth Panthers, North Sydney Sentinels and South Sydney Skoprions, ANZPL Season 2 is primed to be full of surprises.

A draft was held to determine team rosters in February. Teams were able to choose seven players (five main players and two reserves). To keep the city and state based flair of the teams at least three players had to come from the same location as the team.

World Of Tanks has officially partnered with Fortress Melbourne as the production partner for ANZPL Season 2. HyperX and Republic of Gamers have also come on board as partners, with gear being given away during live broadcasts.

The popularity of the ANZPL has allowed World of Tanks to launch ANZ PL Division 2. Registrations will close soon so register your application now!
