Rob Riches from Norwegian developer Megapop puts you in the shoes of the titular Rob Riches, a fearless adventurer and treasure hunter. This puzzle game takes you through three different worlds where you must collect all the coins before moving on to the next level.
There are a wide variety of different obstacles in your way, from poison arrows and moveable blocks to icy floors and flame throwers. Each new obstacle is introduced in a very simple way, where it’s obvious what the solution is. From there things get harder.
The great thing about this game is how it ramps up the difficulty. The levels start out easy enough, but as more elements are introduced and combined with others it significantly raises the challenge.
To aid you the game provides you with the ability to quickly reset the level, or to skip back one move at a time. This makes is a lot easier to recover from mistakes and allows you to try different permutations of moves to find the correct solution.
For players that want a challenge, each level has a par to beat, giving you something to aim for.
Rob Riches takes a simple concept and executes it extremely well. It is out now on Steam and mobile.
