World Of Tanks ANZBL Seaosn 3 Round 2 promised more exciting matches. And it delivered!
ANZBL Season 3 Round 2 Game 1
Cairns Comets Vs Auckland Archers
The Comets start their map pick of Prokhorovka on attack. With some effective use of the light T-100-LT scout, the Comets were able to see the Archers set up for a 2 flag defence. They moved onto the 1 flag and forced the Archers over the train line, bleeding them. Archers managed to get resets in but the Comets punished them, taking the win. Archers started the return leg similar to the Comets. Setting up for a 1 flag capture while the Comets were defending the 2 flag. The difference was the response. The Comets were able to isolate two 2v1 battles and get kills no losses. It was a simple matter for the Comets to move on rest of the Archers and go up 2-0.
The action moved to the Archer’s map choice of Sand River. The Archers’ Taney_Local made a hill climb to get vision but wasn’t able to hold it. Some superior spotting allowed more shots into the Archers but the Comets couldn’t find a way in. Comets eventually moved to the 1 cap and isolate a tank. They were then able to move onto the rest of the Archers tanks and take the win. Archers moved for a quick three-tank capture on the 2 flag. Comets closed in quickly and were able to get resets and win the resulting brawl.

ANZBL Season 3 Round 2 Game 2
Canberra Centurions Vs Bundaberg Badgers
The action opened on Himmelsdorf with the Centurions starting on attack on their map pick. Positioning for the 1 flag capture, the Centurions were punished by a well setup Badgers line up. The Centurions moved a single tank to the 2 flag to draw the Badgers in that direction. Eventually Badgers force a brawl by dumping on to the two Centurion’s tanks near the 1 flag. The rest of the Centurions joined the battle but the Badgers emerged victorious. The Badgers moved to attack on the return leg. Centurions had spread out their defence to provide good coverage for both flags. The Badgers concentrated their attack on the 1 flag. Badgers moved in and got a kill, allowing them to move onto the cap. Badgers defended their capture well but eventually the Centurions moved in, pulling the Badgers off the cap but it wasn’t enough. Badgers take a 2-0 lead heading into their own map pick of Cliff.
Badgers opened the defence with a strong push onto the Centurions at the base of the hill. Centurions took some hill control and got some good crossfire shots onto the Badgers. The Centurions isolated tanks well and were able to win the match, keeping alive their hopes of a tie breaker. The Badgers were able to take the hill on the return leg and settle into a bit of a stalemate. Eventually the Badgers pushed over the hill making the most of their focus fire to take the win.
Bundaberg Badgers take the win over the Canberra Centurions 3-1.

Hawthorn Hellcats Vs Wollongong Wolverines
The last match of the night started on the Hellcat’s map pick of Ghost Town. The Hellcats moved in quickly for a three tank 2 flag cap. The Wolverines were ready for that and were able to bleed them. The Wolverines made the most of the battles to take the win. The Wolverines’ attack started with a move onto the 2 flag with three tanks. The Hellcats did not have the similar positions to immediately punish. That allowed the Wolverines to pick off and isolate battles. The Hellcats fought hard but eventually the Wolverines took the win and led the game 2-0.
Moving to the Wolverine’s map pick of Tundra, the Hellcats set up for a 1 flag capture. The Hellcats set up a good defence but the Wolverines rolled in. The Wolverines were able to get a kill, giving them an advantage. They continued to find shots onto the Hellcats and secure the win. The Wolverines quickly moved into position for a 1 flag play on the return leg. The Hellcats were bled substantially and the Wolverines proved too good.
Wollongong Wolverines defeat the Hawthorn Hellcats 4-0.
Fantasy League
The dominating teams are also dominating the ANZBL Fantasy League Team Of The Week. The_Mendicant_Bias (306.7) and ToasteD (266.1) showed the skill of the Wolverines and Flaming (292.9) from the Comets and Spencer2018 (272.6) from the Badgers rounded out the representatives from the winning teams. StiFe_Fil (288.7) showed how promising the Centurions are with his appearance.

Two undefeated teams meet in the first match of round 3 with the Badgers taking on the Comets, which is also my pick for match of the week.
