World Of Tanks ANZPL Season 4 Round 6 sees the end of the first round robin. The ANZPL now moves into the second of its double round robin with the teams with a good idea of what they’re facing.

ANZPL Season 4 Round 6 Game 1
South Sydney Skorpions Vs Adelaide Action X

The round 6 action started with Skorpion’s map pick of Mines. They set up defensively covering the capture points as Action X ran deep down the 1 line. They paid for the movement with a fair amount of damage. The Skorpions now had knowledge and pushed into the middle of Mines, eliminating Action X’s Val. The dominoes continued to fall as Skorpions took the first match. The return leg saw both teams head to the middle, forcing a brawl. Module damage to Action X gave the Skorpions room to move. Action X spread the damage and Skorpions had a number of tanks on low HP. Skorpion’s Raspberry remained very health and allowed them to push onto the Action X to go up 2-0.

Action X were hoping for some wins on their map pick of Prokhorovka. It didn’t start well for them with CJ in the T-100 LT being spotted scouting early, as well as two tanks sitting around G5. The Skorpions went full send over the ridge with five tanks to take out Action X’s Dongerlord and Saxon. After that Action X were playing for time with the Skorpions taking the win. The last match started a bit slower, with both sides bleeding some damage. The bleed ended up favouring Action X, taking the last match.

South Sydney Skorpions defeat Adelaide Action X 3-1

ANZPL Season 4 Round 6 Game 2
Brisbane Bulldogs Vs North Sydney Sentinels

Prokhorovka made another appearance as the Sentinels’ map choice. Starting on defence, the Sentinels found MadHouse scouting the 1/2 line and made him pay with module damage and an ignite. Without that scouting tank the Bulldog’s vision had been blunted. The Bulldogs eventually moved onto the 2 flag but the Sentinels had the positions to get the resets and take the win. The Bulldogs set up their defence around the trail line with one tank on the hill. The Sentinels moved onto the 1 flag capture. Sentinels’ Rowendy had a good position on the 1 flag to spot out and hold down some tanks, with cover from his team. The Sentinels persisted with the capture but lost tanks in other areas, with the Bulldogs taking the win and drawing the map 1-1.

Bulldogs started on attack of their Ghost Town map pick. Bulldog’s Dark made a deep run and took a shot but Sentinel’s Rowendy also bled a chunk of health. Both survived but Bulldog’s MadHouse eventually went down. The Bulldogs then pushed onto the 2 flag. The Sentinels didn’t seem to worry as they dumped onto the Bulldogs to take the win. The return leg started with the Sentinels running deep north for a 1 flag capture. With three tanks on the 1 flag, Sentinels take the win and the map 2-0.

North Sydney Sentinels defeat the Brisbane Bulldogs 3-1.

ANZPL Season 4 Round 6 Game 3
Perth Panthers Vs Christchurch Conquerors

In a mirror of the previous map, the Panthers also selected Prokhorovka as their map choice. Conquerors committed deep on the 1/2 line which could have spelt trouble for the Panther’s defence. Panthers were able to focus fire onto Conqueror’s Whippet and Bluey. Twoplustwo went down in a one-for-one trade. Panthers pressed their advantage and took the opening match. The return leg saw the Conqueror’s defence settle on the eastern side of the train line. Panther’s JS was in a position to farm the Conquerors while the rest of the Panthers were able to isolate tanks, enabling the Panthers to go up 2-0 on their map choice.

Moving to Ghost Town, Conqueror’s started on attack for their map choice. The game settled into a bit of a stalement but it was up to the Conquerors to push. And push they did, catching the Panthers in a crossfire. Panthers weathered the attack, holding their own. Conquerors got some timely module damage and took the win. Conquerors started the return leg on defence with a lot of map control. The Panthers applied some capture pressure on the 2 flag, trying to bait the Conquerors into action. The Conquerors moved in and Panthers moved off the cap into a brawl. Panther’s focus fire was superb, allowing them to take a win on attack.

The Perth Panthers defeat the Christchurch Conquerors 3-1.
