ANZPL Season 4 Round 8 Game 2
South Sydney Skorpions Vs North Sydney Sentinels

The Sydney derby started with Skorpions defending on their map choice of Mines. Both the Skorpions and the Sentinels dumped into the middle and a brawl ensued. The Skorpions made the most of their shots to take the win. The Sentinels moved to attack on the return leg. Starting a little slower, the Sentinels sent TheReturned far north to scout but was spotted out by Skorpion’s JT. While that duel was happening the rest of the Sentinels pushed into the middle. TheReturned won his battle against JT but the rest of the Sentinels had bled heavily to take hill control. In the end it was too much for them as the Skorpions went up 2-0.

The Sentinels had been here before though, and were ready for the reverse sweep. Starting their map pick of Tundra on attack, the Sentinels took map control to the south. Moving through the river the Sentinels had at least one tank spotted out as they headed towards the 1 flag. Skorpions were set up to deal with this but with JT going down the Sentinels moved up on this see-saw of a game. The Sentinels kept that see-saw in their favour and took the game. The Sentinels set up on defence heavily to the south on the return leg. Skorpion’s Raspberry was lucky to escape with four Sentinels closing in. He found a hold down spot in the river with his team covering him. The Sentinels managed to isolate a Skorpions tank, but the Skorpions had eliminated two of the Sentinels. The Sentinels fought valiantly but it was the Skorpions that prevailed.

The Bulldogs focus fire was on point to take down Panthers’ LightningMan before removing another two Panthers tanks and only losing one of their own. The Bulldogs started applying cap pressure to draw the Panthers out and go 2-0 up.

The Panthers needed to find something on their map pick of Ghost Town. Starting on attack, the Panthers started by scouting the 8 line. The Bulldogs set up to cover both flags. Panthers’ JS forced MadHouse off his covering point allowing Panthers to get three tanks on the 1 flag. The Bulldogs were able to get the resets and the Panthers moved off the cap.
